How to Take
Propecia comes as a tablet. Propecia usually is taken once a day. It may be taken with or without food. Take Propecia exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor. Continue to take Propecia even if you feel well. Do not stop taking Propecia without talking to your.
Warnings/Precaution
Before taking this medication, tell your doctor if you have liver disease. You may not be able to take Propecia, or you may need a lower dose or special monitoring during treatment. You should take propecia exactly prescribed by your doctor. You must take each dose of propecia with a glass of water. Propecia can be taken with or without food. It is important to take propecia to get most benefits.
Your doctor may perform blood tests or other forms of monitoring during treatment with Propecia.
One of the tests that may be performed is called PSA (prostate-specific antigen). This test is used to help detect prostate cancer. Propecia will reduce the amount of PSA measured in the blood. Your doctor is aware of this effect and can still use PSA to help detect prostate cancer.
Missed Dose
If you forgot to take the dose then you should take it as soon as you remember. If it is time to take next dose then skip the dose and continue with the regular schedule of your doses.
Possible Side Effects
Like other pills, propecia can also cause side effects. Stop the intake of propecia if you feel any allergic reaction such as difficulty in breathing, closing of throat, swelling of the lips, tongue, face or hives.
There can be minor side effects. Continue the intake of propecia if you experience decrease in libido, decreased volume of ejaculate, impotence and breast tend mess or enlargement
Storage
Propecia need to be stored at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F ( 15 and 30 degrees C ) in a tightly closed container, away from moisture.
